Madison + Lukas

It was like magic from the start for Lukas and Madison. They met through a dating app—and quickly grew very close. Undeniable electricity and trust sparked between them almost immediately. Their first date began with lunch at UC Berkeley and evolved into a full 8-hour day, filled with deep conversations about shared values, humor, and sincerity.

A few months later, Madison moved to San Francisco, just two blocks from Lukas's place, which allowed them to spend sweet moments together at their favorite corner café on Hyde Street. Life felt better together, and their bond grew stronger, leading Madison to initiate conversations about a shared future, while Lukas remained intentional about taking his time to be certain.

For Lukas, moving in with Madison was a first, as he hadn’t lived with anyone in a long time. Their cohabitation felt natural and comfortable, allowing them to navigate various challenges together, from a kitty ER visit to cross-country family trips. Lukas provided stability for Madison's anxiety, while she soothed his stress, and they both appreciated the ease of their communication and support as they prepared to embark on the next leg of their journey together.

During their engagement, they returned to San Francisco after spending the holidays in Michigan with Lukas's family, just before moving to Southern California for his new job with Blizzard. On a rare sunny day amidst pouring rain, they headed to the beach with Milo, where Madison sensed it might be "the day." After a delightful brunch, they enjoyed the beautiful beach, letting Milo off his leash and capturing memories on camera.

At one point, Lukas playfully drew Madison's attention to Milo's collar, revealing a new tag that read, "Mom, will you marry Dad?" He then knelt down, pulled out a ring, and asked her to marry him. In elated surprise, Madison asked him if he was sure several times, and despite the beach being populated, the moment felt uniquely theirs. After capturing more photos, she teasingly inquired about his proposal speech, to which Lukas, caught off guard, lovingly crafted one on the spot.
